Spreading hope TO and THROUGH hearts in need.
The Aaron Grider Foundation (AGF) is an organization that connects grief-stricken individuals to one another and provides them with opportunities to serve. AGF seeks to empower and assist “orphans and widows in their affliction” (James 1:27). By building bridges for surviving loved ones and families, AGF seeks to spread hope TO and THROUGH hearts in need – to help them know renewal by the Spirit and to participate fully in God’s great story of redemption.
AGF is an organization founded on the principle that service is healing. Therefore, we offer surviving families opportunities to take their brokenness and use it for the good of others, through outreach to those in need. We also work with individuals in congregations and local communities, providing them with insight, resources and tools that will assist them in their care to the fatherless, orphan, and widow in their midst. When we serve; when we take time and energy to walk alongside those in need, we enter into this greater story where hope endures.
AGF’s mission is achieved by the shared efforts of a devoted staff, Board of Directors, and dedicated volunteers to include surviving and active duty spouses, soldiers, veterans, and civilians who honor our military heroes and their families who give the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom and protection of others.
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” —James 1:27
